Straight out of the box the remote control wouldn’t work! Have tried replacing the batteries and some other things but it just won’t turn on!

I received this car as a Christmas present. What a surprise. It is fairly well made and worked correctly right out of the box. The headlights can be turned on and off from the handheld remote and also function as turn signals. The motor is powerful! On a hard floor it will do donuts! One improvement would be proportional steering, but at this price I can live with the full left/right steering. The 4 forward speeds and 3 reverse speed are a nice feature. I’ve had a great deal of fun playing with this car and I also enjoy displaying it in my office, dreaming about owning a real one. Now if I could just find a vendor for the mjx 458 Italia in 1:20.

We bought this for our son for Christmas. Except for the complaint that goes with all R/C cars…the batteries can never last long enough.

My son really likes his new RC Car! It goes real fast on pavement, not that great on snow. He can’t wait to try it on water!

For the price – awesome RC car! This car is fast and takes a beating. I have read reviews giving it low or poor ratings; and I gott’a disagree. Maybe they got a defective unit. Likewise, for some of the negatives mentioned – length of battery charge, range, lack of performance, etc… all I can say is “welcome to the world of RC.” If you want it all, you will need to spend far more (several hundred dollars) to get the superior RC experience. Overall battery charge cycle is fair for a rechargeable car. It will last around 30-45 min constantly running on a full charge. It takes 3-4 hrs to fully charge the battery. It might not hurt to get a coupl’a extra batteries (and chargers) to swap out between charges. It runs very well on concrete and asphalt. While it advertises to run on snow and water, I did not really buy it for those options. We tried it on freshly fallen snow approx. 2″ on grass; it did not work so well. I would imagine on fairly packed snow, it would do alright. Being in Texas, I don’t expect to get much of that. We have yet to try it on water. It has a decent range >100 feet. We got it to replace an RC motorcycle that my son (4 yrs. old) had until it broke (one too many curb checks). He has already run into curbs, flipped it, got stuck under parked cars, etc…; and it keeps going. If it lasts a year I will be happy. Right now, we love it.

This could be just for our car only, but you have to stand super close to it for the remote to work and for the car to respond. The car responds so poorly that the controls are difficult. It doesn’t work that well if at all on grass. The car is large and definitely looks cool, but overall the performance is very frustrating and I’m thinking that I may be taking it back to Target where it was purchased.
